This work critiques the symbiotic relationship between humans and nature, challenging the human expectation and eagerness to conquer the natural world and act in ways that endanger the future of our planet. Human progress seems to advance at the expense of the natural world, with no regard for the environmental cost of such progress. The invasion of the natural with no boundaries and the irresponsible destruction of natural resources has cultivated unsustainable behavior. By upholstering a bench, an object intended to provide humans with comfort, with live plants, the body must surrender to the nature, calling into question the power complex between nature and humanity.
