The inspiration for “UnderTheWeather” comes primarily from the strength of the natural world and the power of weather. As we bear witness to the force of nature around us, we feel moments of nostalgia and dreamlike sensations in its midst. Humans have evolved to control much of the world in which we live. However, the weather cannot be conquered or altered and we must instead learn to adapt to it and respond to it. Technical fabrics are utilized in the collection and inspire the looks to explore the ways in which we have tried to arm ourselves: we cannot avoid getting caught in the rain or stirred up in a windstorm. These are sensations that are unparalleled by any human invention. But, nothing we could wrap ourselves in could be anything more than a miniscule attempt to escape the enormity of the weather. Weightless silhouettes evoke an ephemeral delicacy while more robust fabrics allude to the intensity of storms and the corresponding gear, and quilted materials insulate from the elements. These achromatic designs do not rely on color, but instead on craft and design. Furthermore the palate offers wearers the ability to mix and match pieces while still achieving an effortless, yet commanding beauty. The collection documents the reality and rawness of nature's movements and is captured candidly to project our vulnerability and our often vain efforts to overcome the forces of nature.
The collection not only plays with nature, but is simultaneously trend driven. It updates and renovates conventional styles into well coordinated looks that would complement any wardrobe. The goal is to integrate seamlessly into one’s wardrobe and to offer a tailored and stylish attempt to combat the forces of nature. Additionally, because of their timelessness, these pieces could be worn, layered, mixed and matched for years to come. The achromatic color palette, practicality of design, and paramount quality ensure reliability and unwavering relevance to your closet.
